Five attended the Stammtisch that was held on the 19^th October 2023 at Rani Indian Restaurant, Web Gasse 41, 1060 Vienna. The topic of discussion was “Generative AI”. 

Generative AI will definitely have an impact on project management and is already starting to do so. We discussed many applications to assist in activities such as meetings in note taking or translating. With the approach of generative AI this is going to increase and get continuously better in quality as for example summaries of meetings can be created automatically or potential outcomes and risk impact can be calculated on the spot. While the amount of data collected and available for any given project will thereby potentially increase drastically, it is the belief of the attendees of the Stammtisch, that it will remain the project manager’s task to chose from this data and take decisions accordingly.

The next Stammtisch will be held on Thursday 16th November 2023 at 19:00 at a venue to be decided. The topic of discussion is “Dealing with difficult stakeholders”.
